Formada em 1998, acumula em seu curr\u00edculo importantes lan\u00e7amentos fonogr\u00e1ficos e parcerias com grandes artistas, como Nelson Ayres, Joyce Moreno, Vocal Brasileir\u00e3o, Toninho Ferragutti, Vittor Santos, Itiber\u00ea Zwarg, Nailor Proveta, Roberto Sion, Mauro Senise, La\u00e9rcio de Freitas, L\u00e9a Freire, Chico Mello, Nen\u00e9, Em\u00edlio Santiago, Egberto Gismonti, Letieres Leite, Maria Rita e Margareth Menezes. A orquestra tamb\u00e9m apresenta um repert\u00f3rio de gafieira com a cantora Roseane Santos.<\/p>\n<p>Seu primeiro CD, com obras do maestro Waltel Branco, foi finalista do Pr\u00eamio TIM em 2008. Em seguida, lan\u00e7ou um DVD gravado ao vivo com Arrigo Barnab\u00e9, interpretando A Metamorfose, uma nova roupagem das m\u00fasicas do hist\u00f3rico disco Clara Crocodilo.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2012, realizou dois lan\u00e7amentos: um DVD\/CD no Teatro do Ibirapuera com Andr\u00e9 Mehmari e o projeto Nossos Compositores, gravado no Teatro do Paiol, com obras de m\u00fasicos que integram a hist\u00f3ria da orquestra.<\/p>\n<p>O quinto lan\u00e7amento foi um CD gravado ao vivo no Teatro do Museu Oscar Niemeyer (MON), em Curitiba, em parceria com o clarinetista italiano Gabriele Mirabassi, pelo selo italiano EGEA. Em seguida, lan\u00e7ou um CD em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com L\u00e9a Freire, flautista, compositora e arranjadora, reconhecida por suas melodias improvisadas.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2018, a OABS lan\u00e7ou o CD Passarinhadeira, ao lado da cantora Izabel Padovani, interpretando can\u00e7\u00f5es de Guinga. Em 2021, apresentou um dos seus projetos mais ousados: um CD de m\u00fasica flamenca com composi\u00e7\u00f5es e participa\u00e7\u00e3o do violonista Murillo da R\u00f3s.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2023, trouxe Egberto Gismonti a Curitiba para dois concertos e uma grava\u00e7\u00e3o audiovisual.<\/p>\n<p>Hoje, a Orquestra \u00e0 Base de Sopro \u00e9 considerada um dos principais grupos de m\u00fasica brasileira do pa\u00eds, destacando-se pela cont\u00ednua pesquisa e inova\u00e7\u00e3o em novas sonoridades para a nossa m\u00fasica
